The 2019 Dodge Durango starts $31,390

The Dodge Durango is getting nip-and-tuck updates for 2019. The new SUV will come in five flavors (SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T and SRT), with the base SXT starting at $31,390.
Three new colors are available: F8 green, Destroyer gray and Reactor blue; models equipped with the trailer tow package now get an integrated trailer brake controller.

The 3.6-liter 295-hp Pentastar V6 and eight-speed automatic will carry forward as the base powertrain in the SXT, GT and Citadel, while the R/T comes standard with the 360-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8. And if you need to get the kids to soccer practice now, look no further than the 475-hp Durango SRT. All-wheel drive is optional on all models except the SRT, where it's standard.

All Durango trims have received updates for 2019. GT models will receive the front fascia and LED fog lamps from the R/T and SRT. An SRT-inspired performance hood with a center air inlet and two heat extractors is optional. 20-inch wheels finished in satin carbon or brass monkey (yes, really) are also available.

Elsewhere in the range, the Durango SXT will now offer leather seats, Citadels get standard second-row captain’s chairs and the Durango R/T is now available with sepia leather seats.

The top-dog Durango SRT can now be ordered with two-piece rotor Brembo brakes and red seatbelts. SRT models also get optional 20-inch wheels in matte vapor or brass monkey finish.

For the audiophiles with a family, the Durango Citadel, R/T and SRT can be ordered with an 825-watt, 19-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system. If that sounds distracting, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross path detection is now available on all models.

The Durango makes a compelling case as a three-row SUV with the muscles to back up its looks. Look for the 2019 models to arrive at dealers this fall.
